Half Moon Clutch Bag Workshop

Saturday 12th March 2016 10.00am - 4.00pm

Long Eaton Art Room

29-31 Lime Grove, LONG EATON, NG10 4LD

Using Sarah’s own half-moon clutch bag pattern and inspired by her unique personal style, you will make a beautiful professionally finished clutch bag. Your completed bag will be fully lined, trimmed with ric-rac and finished with a lovely vintage brooch. It will fasten with a magnetic clasp fastener and contain 2 internal loops to add an optional chain handle, for those folks who prefer such things.

All materials will be provided and you’ll have access to a lovely selection of fabrics, lace, trims, vintage scarves and brooches and everything you need to complete your finished design. But if you would like to bring your own materials, to make your bag more personal to you, do feel free to do so.

Sarah will be on hand to give you expert advice, tips and instruction on every aspect of completing this project in a warm, friendly environment, giving you the inspiration and skills to work confidently on your own future projects.

This workshop is designed for everyone from confident beginners (you can operate a sewing machine and maybe sew simple items such as a cushion cover) to those wishing to advance their sewing skills and learn professional bag making expertise.

If you have your own sewing machine please bring it along to use on the day, although there are machines available for you to use, please let Sarah know on booking your place if you need to borrow a machine.

There will be a half hour lunch break during the workshop, tea, homemade cakes and snacks will be provided, but do bring your own packed lunch if you fancy something a bit more substantial.

There is lots of free parking at Long Eaton Art Rooms and disabled access if required.
